Emirates has temporarily closed its first-class check-in area at Dubai International Airport (DXB) for a significant enhancement project scheduled to complete in June 2025. The renovation promises to deliver an elevated check-in experience where premium passengers will access services through exclusive private entrances.

Temporary Check-in Arrangements

During this transformation period, Emirates has implemented alternative check-in solutions for its first-class passengers:

  • US-bound flights: Desks 54-60
  • All other destinations: Desks 16-20

Premium Lounge Network

The airline maintains seven distinctive lounges within Terminal 3:

  • Three dedicated first-class facilities
  • Three business-class spaces
  • One newly established Emirates Lounge serving all premium travelers

Future Experience

Upon completion, the upgraded facility will offer:

  • Private chauffeur drop-off access
  • Dedicated check-in services in tranquil surroundings
  • Personal baggage handling
  • Comfortable seating areas

Global Premium Service Enhancement

Emirates continues to strengthen its premium service offerings globally. The airline’s recent financial report highlights investments of AED 44 million in:

  • New signature lounges at London Stansted
  • Premium facilities at Jeddah Airport
  • Renovations at Paris Charles De Gaulle

Passenger Growth

The airline reported carrying 26.9 million passengers between April and September 2024, marking a 3% increase from the previous year’s corresponding period.

Emirates maintains its position as an aviation leader by consistently upgrading its premium facilities. The airline plans to share additional updates regarding the exclusive first-class check-in lounge opening as the project progresses.

This transformation aligns with Emirates’ dedication to premium service excellence, reflecting Dubai’s position as a global aviation hub.
