Editorial policy
This page explains how JobXDubai News decides what to publish and how we check it.
Who decides
Vadim Kouznetsov, the editor, chooses which stories we cover and gives final approval to every article before it is published. If something on this site is wrong, he is responsible for it.
Sourcing and fact-checking
Every factual claim in a story is checked before publication. We go to the original source wherever one exists: UAE government portals, federal and emirate-level authorities, regulators, courts, and official company announcements. Where we rely on reporting by another news organisation, we use reputable outlets and name them in the story.
Numbers get particular care. Salaries, fees, fines, prices and dates are checked against the source that set them, and we say which emirate or group of people a rule applies to. If a figure is an estimate or comes from a survey, we say so.
If we cannot confirm a claim, we leave it out.
Use of AI tools
We use AI tools to help with research and first drafts, for example to summarise a long official document or to suggest a structure for an explainer. AI does not decide what we publish. Every fact in an AI-assisted draft is checked against a source by a person, and every article is read and approved by the editor before it goes live.
Independence
JobXDubai News is part of JobXDubai, a job platform for the UAE. Our stories often link to our own jobs board and tools, such as job listings for an employer that is hiring. Those links are there because they are useful to readers. They never decide what is true, what we report or how we report it. A story about an employer is checked in the same way whether or not that employer has jobs on our board.
Updates and dates
Rules in the UAE change often. When a fee, law or process we have written about changes, we update the story and show an "Updated" date next to the original publication date, so you can see how current the information is. Significant factual errors are handled as described on our corrections page.
What we will not publish
- Claims we have not been able to verify, including rumours shared on social media.
- The names, photos or identifying details of private individuals in crime or court stories, unless the authorities have officially named them.
- Personal information about private people that has no public interest.
- Content that breaks UAE law, including material that is defamatory or that discloses private data.
- Medical, legal or financial claims presented as advice for your specific case. Our guides explain the rules; for decisions about your own situation, speak to a qualified professional or the relevant authority.
