UAE fuel prices for October 2026 are AED 4.40 a litre for Super 98, AED 4.28 for Special 95, AED 4.21 for E-Plus 91 and AED 4.80 for diesel. The rates apply at every ADNOC, ENOC, Emarat and other station in the country from 1 to 31 October 2026.

Petrol rose by roughly 16% on every grade this month, the third monthly rise in a row. All 4 grades are now at their highest level of 2026, and petrol is above AED 4 a litre for the first time since 2022.

Next update: November 2026 prices are expected on Saturday 31 October. We refresh this page as soon as they are out.

What a full tank costs in October 2026

Tank sizes vary by model, so we use 3 typical sizes: 51 litres for a small hatchback, 62 litres for a mid-size sedan and 74 litres for a large SUV.

Tank Super 98 Special 95 E-Plus 91
Small car (51 L) AED 224.40 AED 218.28 AED 214.71
Sedan (62 L) AED 272.80 AED 265.36 AED 261.02
SUV (74 L) AED 325.60 AED 316.72 AED 311.54

Compared with September, each fill now costs about AED 30 more for a small car, AED 37 more for a sedan and AED 44 more for an SUV. Filling a 74-litre diesel tank costs AED 355.20.

If you drive a car that does not need premium fuel, switching from Super 98 to Special 95 saves 12 fils a litre, about AED 7.44 on a 62-litre fill. Your owner's manual or the label inside the fuel flap tells you the minimum grade. For more ways to spend less, read how UAE drivers are cutting fuel costs.

UAE fuel prices in 2026: every month

All prices are in AED per litre, as announced by the UAE Fuel Price Committee.

Month Super 98 Special 95 E-Plus 91 Diesel
January 2.53 2.42 2.34 2.55
February 2.45 2.33 2.26 2.52
March 2.59 2.48 2.40 2.72
April 3.39 3.28 3.20 4.69
May 3.66 3.55 3.48 4.69

September 3.80 3.69 3.61 4.30
October 4.40 4.28 4.21 4.80

The year splits into 3 phases:

  • January to March: cheap fuel. Super 98 stayed between AED 2.45 and AED 2.59, with February the cheapest month of the year.
  • April to June: the war shock. Global oil jumped after the regional conflict that began in late February. Super 98 rose by 80 fils in April alone, and diesel jumped by almost AED 2 to AED 4.69, where the committee held it for May. Our April 2026 explainer covers what drove it.
  • July to October: a dip, then a new high. July brought relief across every grade, as our July 2026 full-tank guide showed, but prices climbed again from August. October's Super 98 is about 80% above February's.

For a longer view, Super 98 reached AED 4.63 a litre in July 2022, its highest level since prices were deregulated in 2015.

How UAE fuel prices are set

The UAE ended fuel subsidies in August 2015 and created the Fuel Price Committee to set retail prices each month, in line with global prices.

Each month's prices track average global oil prices over the month before. That is why UAE pump prices move a few weeks after Brent crude, not on the same day.

A few points worth knowing:

  • Timing. The committee usually announces the next month's rates on the last day of the month, and they take effect at midnight on the 1st.
  • One price nationwide. The same rate applies in every emirate and at every brand of station.
  • Where to check. Official rates are published by WAM, the state news agency, and on the fuel companies' websites. Major outlets such as Gulf News, Khaleej Times and The National report them within minutes.
  • Diesel can move on its own. In May 2026 the committee froze diesel at AED 4.69 while every petrol grade rose.
