In a landmark development for UAE’s education sector, Taaleem has secured a prime location on Saadiyat Island for Abu Dhabi’s first Harrow International School. The DFM-listed education provider signed a musataha land lease agreement with Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) for this premium education project.

Strategic Location and Campus Features

The new Harrow International School will occupy a substantial 70,369 square meter plot on Saadiyat Island. KODA architects, selected for their excellence in educational design, will create a campus featuring:

  • Advanced learning spaces and laboratories
  • Comprehensive sports facilities
  • Dedicated arts and performance centres
  • Specialised leadership development areas

Expanding Premium Education in the UAE

This development represents Taaleem’s strategic response to increasing demand for high-quality education in the region. The company plans to establish two Harrow schools in the UAE:

  1. Harrow International School Abu Dhabi
  2. Harrow Boarding School Dubai (pending KHDA approval)

These institutions will join Harrow’s distinguished global network, which includes:

  • The original Harrow School in London
  • The John Lyon School
  • International campuses in Bangkok, Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong

British Excellence in Education

The Abu Dhabi campus will deliver a British curriculum that maintains Harrow’s traditional standards of academic achievement. Students will benefit from:

  • A heritage of educational excellence
  • Strong focus on leadership development
  • Integration of modern educational methods
  • Emphasis on character building

This expansion aligns with broader developments in UAE’s premium education sector, as demonstrated by recent announcements of other high-end school projects in the region.
