Abu Dhabi has unveiled a series of groundbreaking housing initiatives aimed at supporting Emirati families, particularly newlyweds and those with growing families. These initiatives, part of the Emirati Family Growth Support Programme, promise to alleviate housing costs and encourage family formation among UAE nationals.

Key Highlights of the New Housing Support Program

  1. Rental Assistance for Newlyweds: Dh75,000 annually for up to four years
  2. Partial Loan Deduction: For families with 4-6 children
  3. Extended Loan Repayment: Reduced monthly installments for larger families

  • Amount: Dh75,000 per year
  • Duration: Initially for two years, renewable up to four years
  • Eligibility:
    • Monthly income less than Dh50,000
    • Submitted permanent housing benefit request to ADHA
    • Do not own any real estate property
  • Location: Rented unit must be in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, or Al Dhafra Region
  • Additional Incentives: Based on childbearing during the assistance period

2. Partial Loan Deduction

  • For Families With:
    • 4th child: Dh30,000 deduction
    • 5th child: Dh30,000 deduction
    • 6th child: Dh40,000 deduction
  • Applicable to: House construction, purchase, demolition, and reconstruction loans
  • Income Range: Dh21,000 to Dh50,000 monthly

3. Extended Loan Repayment Period

  • Eligibility: Families with 4-6 children
  • Extension: 3 additional years per new child (4th, 5th, or 6th)
  • Applicable to: House construction, purchase, demolition, and reconstruction loans
  • Income Requirement: Monthly income exceeding Dh50,000

  • Applications will be accepted from September 2024
  • Apply through the Medeem Digital Platform
  • Part of the Abu Dhabi Family Wellbeing Strategy
