Emirates pilots now take home between AED 32,100 and AED 48,000 a month in basic salary and flying pay, according to the airline's own careers site, before a free villa and other allowances are added. A Direct Entry Captain's full package is valued at AED 1,185,000 a year, tax-free.

Emirates hiring drive: where it stands in 2026
In 2025, Emirates Group said it planned to recruit 17,300 people across 350 roles in its 2025-26 financial year. That year closed on 31 March 2026 with a group workforce of 130,919, up 8%, alongside a record profit of AED 24.4 billion.
The recruitment is not slowing. In January 2026, Chief Operations Officer Adel Al Redha said Emirates expects to hire close to 20,000 operational staff by 2030, including pilots, cabin crew, engineers and airport staff, as new Airbus A350s arrive and routes expand.
Emirates pilot salary by role (2026)
These are Emirates' own published figures. "Take-home cash" is basic salary plus flying pay, based on 85 flying hours a month. The total package adds the value of housing, education and other benefits, calculated for an employee with a spouse and 2 children.

What does an Emirates captain earn?
A Direct Entry Captain takes home about AED 48,000 a month in cash, or AED 575,000 a year. On top of that comes a three- or four-bedroom villa in an Emirates-only gated community, which the airline values at AED 290,000 a year including utilities.
To apply, you need at least 7,000 hours total flying time, current pilot-in-command experience on Airbus jets, and a minimum of 150 hours on type in the past 12 months.
Emirates first officer salary
First officers need at least 2,000 hours and current Boeing or Airbus fly-by-wire experience. They take home AED 32,100 a month, with housing valued at AED 225,000 a year.
The enhanced First Officer package (AED 34,600 a month) is for pilots with at least 4,000 hours on jets over 20 tonnes, including 2,000 hours on multi-crew commercial jets over 50 tonnes, and English language proficiency of Level 5 or above.
Accelerated Command programme
Accelerated Command is a faster route to an Emirates captaincy for pilots who already have command experience on Airbus fly-by-wire or Boeing jets. Applicants need at least 5,000 hours total time and 150 hours on type in the past 12 months. The package is AED 37,100 a month in cash, with the same housing as first officers.
For pilots already at Emirates, the airline lists the captain upgrade criteria as 6,000 hours total time, including 2,000 hours of stick time on an Emirates aircraft type.

New Grade II (Economy) cabin crew earn a basic AED 4,980 a month plus AED 69.6 per flying hour. Emirates puts average monthly pay at about AED 11,244, based on 80 to 100 flying hours, plus meal allowances on night stops.
