Dubai is set to introduce a new tiered parking fee system starting March 2025, with premium locations charging up to Dh6 per hour during peak times. Parkin PJSC, Dubai’s parking management authority, announced these significant changes that will affect motorists across the city.
Premium Parking Zones and Rates
The new premium parking spaces will charge Dh6 per hour during peak hours, which are:
- Morning: 8 AM to 10 AM
- Evening: 4 PM to 8 PM
Standard parking spaces will maintain the current rate of Dh4 per hour during these times.
Where Are the Premium Parking Areas?
Premium parking zones will include locations that meet specific criteria:
- Areas within 500 metres of metro stations
- Zones with high parking occupancy during peak hours
- Commercial districts and shopping areas
Key premium parking locations include:
- Selected areas in Deira and Bur Dubai
- Downtown Dubai
- Business Bay
- Jumeirah
- Al Wasl Road
Special Event Parking Rates
Starting February 2025, Dubai will introduce special event parking charges:
- Dh25 per hour near event zones
- Initial implementation around Dubai World Trade Centre
- Applicable during conferences, exhibitions, and major events
Free Parking Periods Remain
Parking will continue to be free during:
- Overnight hours (10 PM to 8 AM)
- All day Sunday
- Public holidays
Implementation Timeline
The new parking system will roll out in two phases:
- February 2025: Event-specific tariffs begin
- March 2025: Premium parking and peak hour rates start

Drivers can access parking information through:
- Parkin mobile app
- Parkin website
- Social media channels
- On-site signage and displays
This new structure aims to improve parking management in high-demand areas and support better traffic flow throughout Dubai, particularly during peak times and major events.
