Dubai’s commitment to world-class infrastructure takes a significant leap forward with a newly approved Dh3.7 billion internal roads plan. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, has given the green light to this transformative project that will span 634 kilometres across the emirate.

Comprehensive Development Across Dubai

The ambitious initiative encompasses 21 distinct projects across 12 key areas, targeting locations with urbanisation rates between 30% and 80%. This strategic expansion aims to enhance connectivity and support Dubai’s rapid urban development.

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has demonstrated significant progress in infrastructure development:

  • 2011-2023: Internal road paving in 28 residential and industrial areas
  • 2023-2024: Construction of 83km of roads across 17 areas
