Global Village returns for Season 31 on Wednesday 14 October 2026, with gates opening at 6pm on the first night, and runs until May 2027. Before you join the crowds, here are the Global Village dress code and the other essential rules that catch visitors out, checked against the park's own published code of conduct.

8 essential Global Village rules
1. Dress code: shoulders and knees covered
The park's rules say all guests, men and women, must wear respectful clothing that covers the torso and shoulders and the legs to the knee. Management can refuse entry if your outfit does not comply. A light scarf or overshirt solves most problems.
2. No full costumes or face coverings for fun
A newer rule many visitors miss: full costumes, mascot outfits, character dress, theatrical make-up and anything that looks like staff or performer uniforms are not allowed. Leave the cosplay at home.
3. No outside food or drinks
Food and drinks bought outside cannot be brought in, and they cannot be left in the lockers either. Sealed personal water is the exception. With hundreds of food outlets inside, you will not go hungry.
4. No pets
Animals, pets and birds are not allowed inside the park, and cannot be left in the lockers.
5. No scooters, bikes or skateboards
Roller skates, skateboards, bicycles, scooters and similar wheeled devices are banned unless you rent them inside the park. Travel luggage and suitcases are also not allowed.
6. Cameras, tripods and drones
Phone photos for personal use are fine. Professional cameras, tripods and drones are not, and filming for commercial or content purposes needs a permit from Global Village. Also note that by entering, you agree you may appear in the park's own photos and videos; tell the photographer if you would rather not be filmed.
7. Behaviour and smoking
Public displays of affection such as kissing and hugging are not allowed. Smoking is only permitted in designated smoking areas. Respect queues and keep noise down, especially around families.
8. Re-entry and children
Each ticket covers one person, one entry. If you want to step out and come back on the same visit, get a hand stamp from security at the exit gate. Lost children are taken to the Lost Explorers area at the Gate of the World until collected, and a service fee applies.
Tuesdays and family visits
According to The National, Tuesdays are reserved for ladies and families, except on public holidays. Check the app before planning a group visit on a Tuesday.
Getting there and parking
- Car: standard parking is free. Khaleej Times reports VIP parking at AED 200 a day and other paid zones from AED 75 to AED 120.
- Bus: RTA runs routes 102, 103, 104 and 106 to Global Village during the season. Call RTA on 800 9090 or check the S'hail app for times.
- Taxi and ride-hailing: drop-off points are at the main gates.
