Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced a groundbreaking Dh600 million project set to revolutionise traffic flow in key areas of the city. This ambitious undertaking, part of the Sheikh Rashid Corridor Development Project, promises to slash travel times by an impressive 75% and significantly boost road capacity.

First Intersection: Oud Metha Street and Sheikh Rashid Street
- New left-turn lane added
- Capacity increased to 1,800 vehicles per hour
- Service road improvements on Sheikh Rashid Street
- Right-turn lanes increased from two to three, boosting capacity to 4,000 vehicles per hour
Second Intersection: Oud Metha Street with Al Asayel and Al Nawras Streets
- Two new bridges connecting Al Asayel Street to Al Khail Road
- Bridge 1: Two lanes, 2,400 vehicles per hour capacity
- Bridge 2: Three lanes, 3,600 vehicles per hour capacity
- Additional two-lane bridge for left-turn traffic
