Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has reported a significant boost in digital revenue and transactions for 2023, showcasing the emirate’s rapid digital transformation in public transportation services.

- Digital transactions: 821 million
- Smart app transactions: 15.29 million (29% increase)
- Registered users on digital channels: 1.404 million (20% growth)

- Updated RTA Dubai App:
- Unified platform for all services
- AI-powered parking prediction for 190,000 locations
- NFC-based nol top-up service
- Upgraded Mahboob Chatbot:
- Powered by ChatGPT technology
- Enhanced user data protection
- New Smart Kiosks:
- 30 kiosks across 21 locations
- Generated over Dh309 million (12% increase from 2022)
- S’hail App Enhancements:
- New features for bicycles, e-scooters, and taxis
- 18 million journeys planned through the app
- Dubai Drive App Updates:
- Vehicle plate transfer service added
- UAE Pass integration for seamless login
New Services and Initiatives:
- 63 new services launched under the 360 Services initiative
- Integration with Dubai Now app for improved user experience
- 11 services developed for the Emirati Package

Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of RTA, emphasized the authority’s commitment to digital transformation and providing integrated, proactive services to enhance Dubai’s digital quality of life.
With a real-time happiness indicator surpassing 95% across RTA’s apps (a 2% improvement from 2022), these digital advancements are clearly resonating with Dubai’s residents and visitors alike.
