Mark your calendars for 23 September 2024, as Sharjah Safari, the world’s largest safari outside Africa, swings open its gates for its highly anticipated fourth season. This year promises an unparalleled journey through the heart of Africa, right here in the Emirates.
A Growing Family of Wildlife

Sharjah Safari has welcomed over 300 new animals and birds this year, a testament to its thriving biodiversity preservation efforts. Visitors will have the rare opportunity to observe young animals with their mothers, offering a heartwarming glimpse into the circle of life in nature.
Hana Saif Al Suwaidi, Chairperson of the Environment and Protected Areas Authority (EPAA) in Sharjah, emphasises the initiative’s alignment with Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi’s vision of prioritising environmental care and wildlife conservation. She notes, “Witnessing the excitement in visitors’ eyes, especially children, as they interact with animals in habitats that closely resemble their natural environments, and their grasp of the importance of preserving these environments, motivates us to continually enhance our programmes and activities.”
