As the summer travel season kicks off, Emirates has issued a travel advisory to help UAE travellers navigate Dubai International Airport (DXB) efficiently. With over 3.7 million passengers expected to pass through DXB between June 12 and June 25, and even more during the summer holidays, Emirates is urging passengers to plan ahead to avoid delays.

Arrive Early and Plan for Extra Traffic

To avoid congestion, Emirates advises passengers to arrive at the airport three hours before departure and pass through immigration at least 1.5 hours before departure. Make sure to reach your correct boarding gate one hour before departure.

Quicker Ways for Families to Check In

Emirates offers a Home Check-In service in Dubai and Sharjah, allowing passengers to complete check-in at their homes, hotels, or offices. This service needs to be booked at least 24 hours before a flight. Alternatively, use the Emirates app to check-in online, download digital boarding passes, and receive flight notifications.

Drop Off Luggage Early

Take advantage of Emirates’ luggage drop-off service, available at the airport the night before travel at no charge. For US-bound flights, passengers from Dubai can check-in early and drop off their bags 24 hours before departure or 12 hours before departure.

Check-in at Emirates City Check-In

Save time at the airport by checking in at the Emirates City Check‑in and Travel Store in ICD Brookfield Place, Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) or Ajman Central Bus Terminal. Passengers can check in and drop off luggage as early as 24 hours and up to 4 hours before a flight.

By following these simple tips, UAE travellers can ensure a hassle-free airport experience and make the most of their summer trips.
