Emirates, Dubai’s flagship carrier, has revealed that it serves a staggering 45 million luxury chocolates onboard its flights every year. This impressive figure is a testament to the airline’s commitment to providing its passengers with a world-class travel experience.
The chocolate indulgence is available to passengers across all classes, with Economy Class customers enjoying 36.3 million chocolates, Premium Economy Class passengers savoring 322,000 chocolates, and Business Class customers relishing 8.2 million chocolates. First Class passengers, who have access to unlimited chocolates, have indulged in 122,000 large gourmet chocolate boxes.
To offer its passengers the best, Emirates collaborates with renowned chocolatiers from around the world, rotating its onboard chocolate selection every three months. Currently, French chocolatier Valrhona’s sweet treats are being served inflight. Valrhona, established in 1922, partnered with Emirates to create a bespoke luxury chocolate box for First Class customers.
Emirates’ chocolate selection also features brands from the UAE, Ireland, Belgium, Ecuador, and the UK, including Bateel, Coco Jalila, Forrey and Galland, Butlers, Godiva, Canonica, Neuhaus, Pacari, and Hotel Chocolat. The airline selects its chocolate brands based on factors such as content, taste, texture, brand recognition, trends, and sustainable sourcing.
In addition to its onboard chocolate service, Emirates also offers chocolate desserts and hot chocolate from its menu, ensuring that passengers have a sweet and satisfying travel experience.
