UAE Experiences Unpredictable Weather Patterns
The UAE witnessed a mix of heavy rain and hail showers on Saturday, June 29, with various regions receiving rainfall of varying intensities.
National Centre for Meteorology Updates
According to the National Centre for Meteorology (NCM), the Fili region in Sharjah experienced heavy rains and small hailstones, while Shawka and Musseili in Ras Al Khaimah, as well as Al Madam in Sharjah, received medium to light rain.
The NCM had forecast the development of cumulonimbus clouds accompanied by rain in some eastern regions of the UAE, bringing active winds with speeds reaching up to 40kmph and reducing visibility.
Weather Forecast for the Week Ahead
For Sunday, June 30, the NCM predicted clear to partly cloudy weather, with low clouds appearing on the eastern coast. Winds will be light to moderate, occasionally becoming active during the day. The sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea.
Looking ahead to next week, the NCM forecast:
- Monday, July 1: Partly cloudy to cloudy with a gradual increase in temperatures and light to moderate winds causing blowing dust.
- Tuesday, July 2: Partly cloudy to cloudy with a probability of mist formation over some coastal areas and light to moderate winds causing blowing dust.
- Wednesday, July 3: Dusty to partly cloudy with a decrease in temperatures, especially over the coasts, and light to moderate winds causing blowing dust and sand.
