As of June 19, residents and visitors in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, need to be aware of the new parking regulations enforced by the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) and Abu Dhabi Mobility (AD Mobility). Failure to comply with these rules may result in vehicles being towed away.
What You Need to Know About the New Parking Rules
Immediate Towing
- Vehicles without license plates in parking areas will be towed immediately to the Mawaqif Vehicle Impounding Yard in Al Ain’s industrial area.
- Vehicles displayed for sale, used for commercial, advertising, or promotional purposes, or occupying a parking space without a permit or with an expired permit will also be towed.
Comply with Mawaqif Regulation Law
- The new regulations aim to regulate public parking usage and improve traffic flow across the city’s areas.
- Abu Dhabi Mobility urges the public to park correctly and in designated areas, avoid parking in prohibited zones, and not obstruct vehicle movement to maintain smooth traffic flow and ensure community safety and security.
Educational Workshops
- Teams from Abu Dhabi Mobility are conducting workshops to raise public awareness about the public parking management system.
