In a move to ease access to housing for Emiratis, the UAE has simplified home loans and approved a housing package worth $458m. This package includes 2,160 decisions for beneficiaries of housing assistance under the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program.
The new housing loan approval system will reduce the number of required documents from 10 to two, and the procedures from 14 to three steps. This Significant reduction will make it easier for citizens to find funding for real estate in the country.
The UAE Cabinet, chaired by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, approved the housing package, which includes the “Manzili” bundle. This bundle offers 18 housing services in collaboration with 24 federal and local government entities, simplifying the customer journey and required documents.
The launch of the “Manzili” bundle aims to enhance the quality of digital government services, ensuring speedy delivery and simplified procedures for citizens. This aligns with the UAE’s ongoing policies of support and empowerment, ensuring a dignified life and suitable housing for all citizens.
The package includes 437 housing decisions worth AED297.65m ($81m), following the directives of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, to complete all previous housing grant requests. Additionally, it includes 1,654 housing financing decisions worth AED1,301,609,308 ($354m) as part of the new housing policy plan.
