The UAE’s artificial intelligence market is booming, and hundreds of tech roles are emerging as a result. With the AI market expected to grow at an annual rate of 28.54% from 2024 to 2030, experts predict a significant increase in job opportunities in the region.
Speaking to Khaleej Times, Saeed Al Falasi, Director of Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence, emphasized the need for skilled professionals to fill various AI-related roles, including chiefs of AI, programmers, and cybersecurity experts.
As AI becomes an integral part of business operations and consumer-facing applications, officials stress that the UAE will need experts in computer vision, machine learning, and natural language abilities to excel in these positions.
Major General Khalid Nasser Al Razooqi, Director of the General Department of Artificial Intelligence at Dubai Police, highlighted the role of AI in enhancing public services, such as smart police stations, which are managed by zero police officers.
Stakeholders in the private sector, like Div Turakhia, Founder of Ai tech, emphasised Dubai’s role as a “sandbox” for testing new technologies and innovation, which will lead to a faster and more extensive adoption of AI tools in the emirate.
As the AI market continues to evolve, it’s essential to reinvent and up-skill to stay ahead of the curve. With the UAE at the forefront of AI adoption, the job market is poised for significant growth and transformation.
