In a move to accelerate the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across various government agencies, the Dubai government has appointed 22 new Chief Artificial Intelligence Officers.
Announced by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, this initiative aims to enhance Dubai’s progress and expertise in AI, consolidating its position as a leader in creating innovative solutions built on advanced technology.
The newly appointed AI Officers will be based in various entities, including community development, government human resources, customs, police, judiciary, aviation, housing, electricity and water authority, among others.
“This initiative will enhance Dubai’s progress and expertise in this sector and consolidate its position as a leader in creating innovative solutions built on advanced technology,” said Sheikh Hamdan.
The appointment of the new Chief AI Officers marks the initial phase toward realizing Dubai’s vision for the future of government work, in line with the Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence.
By intensifying their efforts, these officers will translate Dubai’s vision into reality, shaping the future of AI-enabled government operations in Dubai.
