Saudi Arabia has introduced stringent measures to tackle visa violations, imposing fines of up to SR50,000 (approximately $13,300) and deportation of expatriate employees for recruiters who fail to comply with visa regulations.

The General Directorate of Public Security announced that recruiters who delay reporting the departure of their recruited employees after their entry visa expires will face the severe penalties. This includes imprisonment for up to six months.

The authorities are urging citizens to report any violators of residency, work, and border security regulations by calling the designated numbers (911 in Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Region and 999 in other regions).

It is essential for recruiters and expatriates to be aware of the visa rules in Saudi Arabia. From May 23 to June 21, visit visa holders of any type are not permitted to enter or remain in Makkah. Additionally, visit visas do not entitle holders to perform the Hajj pilgrimage.
