Experts said authorities are ensuring strict entry guidelines are followed, and some passengers who failed to meet the requirements were stopped at Indian airports and barred from boarding their flights. Others reported being stranded at airports in Dubai.

• A confirmed return ticket
• Dh3,000 in cash or credit card as proof of funds to sustain your stay in Dubai
• Valid address proof of accommodation in the UAE, such as a relative’s or friend’s home or a hotel booking

Abin S, who travelled to Dubai from Cochin International Airport, was asked to provide the requirements to enter Dubai. Although he had the required amount and a return ticket, he was stuck at the airport for four days due to issues with his accommodation proof.

Another tourist, Abhishek, was denied boarding at Cochin International Airport because he couldn’t provide the necessary documents, including a valid hotel stay or Dh5,000 in cash.
