Dubai is taking a significant step towards revolutionizing its justice system with the launch of a centralized digital platform for remote investigations and court hearings. This innovative project, scheduled for completion by 2026, will integrate systems with key government entities, including the Dubai Police, Dubai Courts, and the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA).
The platform, managed by the Dubai Public Prosecution, will provide a unified investigation and litigation system accessible remotely. This will enable prosecutors to manage appointments, coordinate with relevant parties, and schedule court sessions.
The system will feature advanced technologies, including:
- Centralized storage and archiving capabilities
- Scheduling of remote interviews and reservations in multiple locations
- Enhanced communication among prosecutors, lawyers, translators, witnesses, and other parties involved
- High-quality visual and audio communication with stringent confidentiality and privacy standards
This initiative aims to enhance the efficiency of investigation and litigation processes, improving justice delivery in the emirate with a focus on speed, accuracy, and integrity. It will also ensure operational resilience during crises.
Dr. Ali Humaid bin Khatam, senior advocate general and head of the Remote Investigation and Litigation System Project Team, emphasized the importance of this project, stating that it will significantly improve the justice system in Dubai.
Salvador Anglada, CEO of e& Enterprise, highlighted the company’s commitment to providing innovative technology solutions to support the Dubai Public Prosecution in achieving their goals.
