In a bid to enhance operational efficiency and public presence in tourist hotspots, Dubai Police has added an Audi RS Q8 and a high-speed “Defender” beach bike to its fleet of supercars.

The police fleet of supercars, which already boasts an impressive lineup of luxury vehicles from Aston Martin, Bugatti, Ferrari, Bentley, McLaren, Porsche, Lamborghini, and more, has been further bolstered with the latest additions.

The Audi RS Q8, unveiled at the Arabian Travel Market 2024, is powered by a 4.0-litre V8 TFSI engine, packing an impressive 600 horsepower and a maximum torque of 800 Nm. This hybrid engine is part of Dubai Police’s efforts to incorporate eco-friendly vehicles into its fleet.

The “Defender” beach bike, presented in collaboration with MTM Marine, a subsidiary of the Al Masaood Group, is designed for navigating sandy terrain and narrow areas. Equipped with an 82-horsepower engine, it can reach speeds of up to 100kmph and is equipped with a first aid box and seating for two extra passengers alongside the driver.

Brigadier Dr. Saeed Abdullah Al Qamzi, Assistant Director of the General Department of Criminal Investigations for Administrative and Control Affairs, emphasized that the initiative aims to enhance security presence in tourist destinations such as Burj Khalifa, Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard, JBR, and other popular areas.

By upgrading its patrol vehicles, Dubai Police is dedicated to providing a superior tourist experience, offering luxurious security patrols, assistance during events, and addressing tourists’ inquiries and concerns.

The “Defender” beach bike and Audi RS Q8 additions will undoubtedly elevate the police’s operational efficiency and provide a more enjoyable experience for tourists in Dubai.
