Dubai continues to witness an unprecedented boom in tourism numbers, with 5.18 million visitors recorded in the first quarter of 2024. This marks an 11% year-on-year increase, with hotels experiencing an average occupancy rate of 83%.
The highest number of overnight tourists came from the Western Europe region, accounting for 22% of the total growth. The GCC and Middle East market contributed 25% to the total tourism numbers. South Asia also contributed to the growth of tourism numbers with 869,000 visitors (17%).

During this period, hotels maintained high occupancy rates with occupied room nights seeing a 2% increase to 83%. In addition, there was a notable increase in the average daily rates, revenue per available room, and total available rooms.
