A major Dh2.18 billion housing benefits programme has been introduced by Abu Dhabi with the goal of assisting 1,502 residents of the emirate. This action, spearheaded by Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the president, and Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the leader, represents the significant first housing assistance payout for 2024 and reflects the leadership’s unwavering commitment to the stability and improvement of Emirati families.
This all-inclusive package, which will benefit 1,407 residents, includes housing loans, ready-built homes, and residential land gifts totaling more than Dh2.082 billion. 95 citizens—including elderly individuals, low-income retirees, and relatives of the departed—have been released from home loan payback obligations in an act of kindness totaling more than Dh98 million.
The head of the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, expressed gratitude for the leadership’s commitment to the welfare of the people and stressed the importance of this programme in promoting social and familial harmony as well as the emirate’s overall progress.
Hamad Hareb Al Muhairi underlined the leaders’ steadfast efforts to guarantee the welfare of Emirati citizens, emphasising the housing authority’s commitment to continuously improve its housing initiatives. This action is a thoughtful attempt to ensure that Emirati families have access to appropriate accommodation that meets their needs, and it directly addresses the impending Eid Al Fitr celebration.
According to the statement, the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority has provided housing subsidies worth a staggering Dh149 billion in total since its founding. This action paves the way for the emirate’s prosperous future and demonstrates the leadership’s unwavering commitment to providing stability and high living conditions for its people.
