The UAE has officially declared an extended break for Eid Al Fitr, creating an opportunity for residents to potentially enjoy a nine-day vacation, commencing from Saturday, April 6, and concluding on Sunday, April 14, with the resumption of work on Monday, April 15.
Eid Al Fitr, a fundamental religious celebration observed by Muslims worldwide, signifies the closure of Ramadan, the sacred fasting month. This festival embodies joy, thanksgiving, and social gatherings.
The length of the Eid holiday in the UAE is contingent on the lunar observations, with final dates to be announced nearer to the occasion. However, the commencement date stands confirmed.
Should Ramadan extend over 30 days, the Eid holiday is set to start on Monday, April 8, continuing up to Friday, April 12. This scenario presents a nine-day break, factoring in two weekends.
Conversely, a 29-day Ramadan period will usher in six consecutive days off, from Monday, April 8, through Thursday, April 11.
Ramadan fasting, pivotal among the Five Pillars of Islam, fosters introspection, heightened spirituality, and a closer bond with the divine, making Eid Al Fitr a well-deserved commemoration of this spiritual journey.
