The Dubai Land Department (DLD) has taken a significant step by initiating the first phase of strategic partnerships with renowned developers to bolster the Dubai Real Estate Programme. This initiative is set to not only enhance professional standards within the sector but also to foster collaborative efforts aimed at driving sustainable growth.
Reputable developers such as Emaar Properties, Expo Dubai, Deyaar, DAMAC Properties, Azizi Developments, MAG, Sobha Realty, Ellington Properties, and Al Bait Al Duwaliy Real Estate Development have entered into an alliance agreement with the DLD, as announced by Marwan bin Ghalita, Acting Director-General of DLD.
This collaboration signifies a collective commitment to elevate the real estate sector in Dubai by focusing on ethics and professional principles. The strategic alliance seeks to enhance the competitiveness of Emirati professionals and facilitate their active roles within the sector through supportive and high-quality project initiatives.
One of the notable aims of this partnership is to allocate a percentage (10 – 15%) of projects to be sold through Emirati brokers, demonstrating a clear effort to empower national talents and provide significant job opportunities in line with existing labour laws.
Marwan bin Ghalita expressed his enthusiasm for the positive impacts this programme is expected to bring to the real estate sector in Dubai, stating, “We eagerly anticipate working alongside our partners in the real estate sector to achieve remarkable outcomes that reinforce Dubai’s esteemed position in the global real estate market.”
As the DLD plans to forge more partnerships with leading developers and real estate brokers in Dubai in subsequent phases, it is evident that a concerted effort is underway to ensure a thriving and ethically driven real estate sector. This initiative not only promises to bolster Dubai’s real estate industry but also aims to encourage a more inclusive and professional environment for all stakeholders involved.
