Dubai is gearing up for an extraordinary auction event, showcasing a collection of ultra-rare supercars and exclusive watches. RM Sotheby’s is hosting its first-ever auction in Dubai on March 9, located at Concrete in Alserkal Avenue, Al Quoz district, promising an array of high-end vehicles including brands like Aston Martin, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Mercedes-Benz, McLaren, and Bugatti.

A highlight of the auction is the 2009 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Stirling Moss, inspired by Sir Stirling Moss’ iconic 1955 Mille Miglia victory. With only 75 units ever made, this model is a collector’s dream. Presenting in Crystal Antimon Grey with a Black and Anthracite leather interior, the car has barely touched the road, showing just 9,233kms on the clock. It is expected to command a price between $3m and $3.5m.

For off-road luxury enthusiasts, the 2018 Mercedes-Maybach G 650 Landaulet stands out. It represents the pinnacle of the G-Wagen series, with only 99 units produced. This V-12 engine powerhouse, delivering 621 brake horsepower, comes in Monza Gray Magno over a Brown leather interior, showing a mere 2,069km. Its auction price is estimated between $700,000 and $800,000.

A unique offering is the 2015 Rolls-Royce Silver Spectre Shooting Brake by Carat Duchatelet. This one-of-a-kind, custom-built vehicle underwent over 2,500 hours of conversion work. With a 6.6-litre V-12 engine enhanced to 690 brake horsepower, it could sell for between $275,000 and $325,000.

The 2023 Aston Martin Valkyrie Coupé is also generating buzz, with only 123km recorded, offering a nearly new condition of this rare hypercar. Featuring gloss carbon fibre and Matte Black magnesium performance wheels, it’s estimated to fetch between $2.9m and $3.3m.

The auction will also feature memorabilia, including Michael Schumacher’s race suit from the 2000 season, and a helmet from 2004. Model car enthusiasts will find treasures like the Scuderia Ferrari SF70H 1:4 Scale Model by Amalgam, expected to reach $25,000 to $35,000.

Watch collectors will be drawn to the selection of timepieces, including a one-of-a-kind Rolex Daytona UAE Stainless steel chronograph, showcasing the UAE coat of arms and valued at up to $400,000. Another highlight is the Rolex Daytona 18k yellow gold automatic chronograph, with an estimated value of $20,000 to $25,000.
