In a stunning display of efficacy, the Amicable Dispute Resolution Centre (ADRC) under Dubai Courts has revealed an unprecedented success in 2023. The centre reported a staggering 74.67% increase in reconciliation agreements, amounting to financial settlements reaching AED4.77bn ($1.3bn). Issa Bin Tameem, the Centre Director, shared these encouraging statistics and highlighted the centre’s pivotal role in fostering a conducive environment for peaceful dispute resolutions.
The centre’s performance in 2023 reflects a significant leap in dispute settlement, with 2,531 disputes resolved and 3,266 decisions issued to terminate conflicts effectively. Additionally, 910 expert disputes found resolution, underlining the centre’s comprehensive approach to conflict management.
Bin Tameem attributes these achievements to a growing preference for amicable settlement and reconciliation among disputing parties, evidenced by a 41% increase in registrations from the previous year. He also noted the efficiency of the centre, with agreements typically reached within an average of 16 days.
Furthermore, the centre achieved a milestone in digital transformation, with a 100% adoption rate of digital signatures on reconciliation agreements. This modern approach not only streamlined the settlement process but also ensured secure and reliable documentation of agreements.
The culmination of these efforts has not only expedited the resolution of disputes but has also significantly boosted community happiness, with user satisfaction reaching an impressive 98%.
