In a significant development for the United Arab Emirates’ job market, Tenaris, a global leader in the steel pipe manufacturing sector, has officially launched its latest industrial complex in Abu Dhabi, named Etihad Tubulars. This strategic move, involving a $60 million investment, underscores Tenaris’ commitment to strengthening its partnership with the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and contributing to the local economy.

Located in the heart of Abu Dhabi Industrial City (ICAD III), the sprawling 200,000 square-meter complex marks a new era of employment possibilities for UAE nationals, particularly in technical and administrative arenas. One of the highlights of this state-of-the-art facility includes a dedicated industrial training center. Designed with a focus on skill enhancement, this center provides ADNOC engineers, local talents, and various partners with an opportunity to elevate their technical competencies and industry knowledge.

Moreover, the complex boasts a pipe service yard dedicated to the storage, inspection, and meticulous preparation of pipe products. An additional feature is its cutting-edge premium OCTG (Oil Country Tubular Goods) threading facility, further cementing Tenaris’s position at the forefront of the industry.

The inauguration event saw key figures such as Paolo Rocca, Tenaris Chairman and CEO, and Gabriel Podskubka, Chief Operating Officer, marking their presence alongside Yaser Al Mazrouei, ADNOC Executive Director of People, Commercial and Corporate Support.

Unique to this facility is its capability to offer full-length premium connections, a first in the UAE, seamlessly integrating with Tenaris’s Rig Direct® model. This innovative approach takes the tubular supply chain into the digital era, merging well-planning services with OCTG field management and real-time on-site support, symbolizing a step forward in operational efficiency and service excellence.
