Riyadh Air, the promising new airline established by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), is setting its sights aloft, preparing for an inaugural mid-2025 launch. With a vision to revolutionize air travel and a commitment to fueling Saudi Arabia’s vibrant economy, Riyadh Air is focused on crafting a team of dedicated professionals to bring this dream to fruition. This pioneering carrier is presenting job seekers in Dubai and beyond a unique chance to enter the aviation sector as it gears up for a recruitment drive aimed at bolstering its workforce with talented individuals.

Peter Bellew, Riyadh Air’s Chief Operating Officer, spoke to Khaleej Times about the company’s extensive hiring goals. “We’re on the lookout for a diverse range of aviation aficionados – from cabin crew and pilots to engineers and various corporate gurus. Our Dubai recruitment days, planned for the fourth quarter, form part of our strategy to welcome 300 cabin crew members by the close of 2024, with the earliest appointments commencing in the first quarter,” he revealed.

Following a successful London roadshow in October, Riyadh Air’s ambition is palpable. By 2030, they aspire to generate a staggering 200,000 job opportunities, both directly and indirectly, aligning with the bold objectives of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. This is more than just a recruitment story; it’s a narrative of ambition and sweeping economic transformation.

The response since their March 2023 announcement has been nothing short of extraordinary, with over 900,000 applications pouring in, reflecting a commitment to diversity and inclusion, as evidenced by the 52 percent of submissions from women, spanning over 200 nationalities.

With a fleet that’s poised to touch down in more than 100 locations globally by 2030, Riyadh Air is not only lifting the aspirations of wayfarers but also shaping the contours of the future aviation landscape.

“We invite passionate and ambitious candidates from all corners of the globe to assist in building a premier airline. Our doors are open to a spectrum of talents, and we’re excited for what lies ahead,” enthused Bellew.

As part of their industry engagement, Riyadh Air will also participate in the Dubai Airshow from November 13 to 17. They’re slated to disclose a substantial contract, possibly for 100 Boeing 737 Max jets, according to Bloomberg sources. The Airshow promises to unravel more about Riyadh Air’s growth trajectory and its eagerly awaited second livery.

The carrier also teases a collaboration with Lucid Group, signaling a commitment to sustainable luxury transportation, setting another benchmark for innovation and environmental responsibility.
