Spinneys, a renowned Gulf retail brand, has made its foray into Saudi Arabia with the launch of its first store in Riyadh. This milestone marks the brand’s expansion beyond its core markets of the UAE and Oman.

Located in Riyadh’s emerging mixed-use development La Strada Yard, the sprawling 43,520 square foot supermarket offers a wide range of fresh and premium products, including imports, local items, and private label ranges. The store boasts extensive bakery, meat, and meal solution facilities on-site, ensuring the freshness of its produce.

“The demand for high-quality retail experiences in Saudi Arabia is on the rise, driven by the country’s transformative Vision 2030,” said CEO Sunil Kumar. “Our expertise in the GCC, coupled with our insights and partnerships in the Kingdom, positions us for success in this new market.”

The retail sector in Saudi Arabia is poised for growth, with initiatives aimed at increasing expatriate populations and household spending. Spinneys is well-positioned to capitalize on this growth, with plans to open more stores in Riyadh and Jeddah this year and a total of twelve stores nationwide by 2028.

The new La Strada store mirrors Spinneys’ high standards for quality, variety, and accessibility, offering customers a world-class shopping experience. Online delivery is also planned for launch, further expanding the brand’s reach in Saudi Arabia’s evolving retail landscape.

This debut marks a significant step in Spinneys’ international expansion, alongside growth through new concepts like The Kitchen, a standalone food hall.
