The Department of Land and Real Estate Regulation in Ajman has reported a significant increase in commercial property valuations, with a total value exceeding AED729.5m ($199m) in May 2024. This growth is attributed to 169 real estate valuation processes completed during the month.

Commercial properties accounted for the largest share, with a total value of AED437.2m ($119m), representing a 197% increase compared to April 2024. Industrial properties followed, with a total value of AED148.45m ($40.4m).

According to Ahmed Khalfan Al Shamsi, Director of Real Estate Registration, the valuations covered commercial, residential, industrial, and agricultural units. Additionally, 142 valuation transactions were completed for courts and institutions, as well as for long-term golden residency visas for investors, exceeding AED334m ($91m) in total value. This represents a 33% increase compared to the previous month.

The surge in commercial property valuations is a promising sign for Ajman’s real estate market, indicating a strong demand for commercial properties in the region.
