Dubai schools will soon see a transformation as teachers in the emirate receive comprehensive training in artificial intelligence. Announced on Wednesday, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, introduced a groundbreaking programme dedicated to AI education for teachers.

This initiative is part of the Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence (DUB.AI), aiming to modernize the educational landscape. The programme focuses on equipping teachers with the necessary skills to integrate AI into teaching practices, enhancing the overall learning experience for students.

In April 2025, the AI Retreat will honor the ten most innovative teachers who excel in incorporating AI into their classrooms with awards amounting to Dh1-million.

“Our goal is to forge an educational framework that not only prepares our students for the future but also leverages AI for a superior learning environment. Investing in education is tantamount to investing in the future of Dubai,” stated Sheikh Hamdan.

The Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence in conjunction with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) will manage the initiative. Teachers will undergo rigorous training, blending practical and online methods, and will be regularly assessed to achieve optimal outcomes.
