In an unprecedented online car sale, a 2015 Lamborghini Veneno Roadster, formerly owned by a member of the Saudi royal family, has broken records by selling for a staggering $6,000,000 on Supercar Blondie’s SBX Cars.

This transaction surpasses the previous record held by a 2017 Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta, which sold for $5,360,000 in 2022. The Lamborghini Veneno Roadster, one of only nine ever produced, initially appeared at an in-person auction in 2020 but failed to sell despite an estimated price range of €4,500,000 to €5,500,000.

The vehicle boasts a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine, delivering 740 HP and reaching 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds, with a top speed of 355 km/h. Finished in matte black with lime green and black leather interior, the Veneno Roadster also features lime-green pinstriping. With only 1,778 kilometers on the odometer, the vehicle was sold in virtually as-new condition.

SBX Cars is set to auction the highly-anticipated Lotus Black & Gold Collection, the world’s largest collection of historic Lotus cars and rare assets from the John Player Special Formula One era. This collection includes over 25 rare lots, featuring Grand Prix racing cars and other significant memorabilia. The auction is scheduled for September.

Additionally, SBX Cars aims to break another record with the upcoming auction of a Lamborghini Veneno Coupe, one of only three in existence.

Stay tuned for more updates on the world of luxury cars and rare auctions!
